Red Barn Ranch Wholesale (RBR Inc.) is a family owned company. We have been in business together since the 1980's. And yes there really is a red barn, built in 1906 on what was then a walnut farm.

Ranching goes back in our family to the 1880's when Kathy’s great grandfather, John M. Shaw, worked on the Matador Ranch in Motley County Texas before purchasing his own land outside of Washburn, Texas. He raised Herford cattle and three daughters, one being Anna Jo Shaw who was Kathy’s grandmother. Kathy’s other grandfather C.P.Wallace, was a farmer in West Texas growing cotton and peanuts and training quarterhorses.

In the 1950’s  Kathy’s father moved to California working in the aero space industry, but always had a horse at the local stable. In the 1960’s they relocated to another area in California and began ranching again, raising replacement heifers for local dairy’s and had a large scale feedlot.  They (Kathy along with four brothers and two sisters) had the joy of growing up riding fence, branding, roping, feeding, barrel racing, showing steers and herding cattle in California.

Red Barn Ranch grew from a love of all things cowgirl. Kathy began the company, which has grown to now employ several family members as well as others, providing quality original designs to the western world. Red Barns focus has always been not only on quality products but also providing excellent customer service.
